Your Guide

Think of our horses as a different kind of life coach. They will pay close attention to your body language, energy and even your heartbeat.  With each interaction, they will give unbiased feedback about how they experience you. This feedback can provide valuable and introspective information into yourself, what you value, and how you interact with the world around you. The horse won't tell you all the answers. Instead, they encourage you to discover them for yourself.

Dress Code

  • Wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty.

  • All activities are outdoors, so dress for the weather.

  • Boots are recommended and closed toe shoes are required.

  • For safety reasons, participants wearing sandals or other open toe shoes cannot enter the barn.

  • Developed by the Curriculum Director the Academy of Equine Assisted Learning, EAL Network, Tamara MacKinnon.

Can you bill my insurance for therapy?

Unfortunately, we cannot bill insurance because we are not a therapeutic facility. Technically, we are Equine Assisted Learning, which does not qualify as Equine Assisted Therapy.

What if I need to cancel?

We understand that life happens sometimes. If you have to cancel, please give us 48 hour notice before the start of the first day of class. Refunds are not available, however you may reschedule for another upcoming workshop should you need to cancel. Email to make arrangements.

If a class needs to be cancelled altogether due to weather or illness of the facilitator, the class will be rescheduled. We will be sure to notify our students should this happen.

Can I bring my phone to take pictures?

We love pictures! We'll even help you take them. However, we do request you switch your phone to silent and save picture time for the end.

Is childcare provided?

Childcare is not provided and we are not running programs for youth at this time. For safety purposes, children will not be allowed in the arena during adult workshops.

Can I bring my dog/pet with me?

Since horses are prey animals, we do not allow dogs or other pets for everyone's safety.

I have another question that's not answered here.

No problem! If you can't find the answer you're looking for, send us and email or give us a call. We'd be happy to answer all your questions.

We will never have to tell our horse that we are sad, happy, confident, angry, or relaxed. He already knows – long before we do.
